
Pastor Steve Murray
Steve was born in the Seattle, WA – USA. In 1978 he got his associate’s degree at Shoreline Community College and is a Former Better World Initiative Director at the Pacific Institute.
In 1998 Steve and his wife Tina started Real Life Church, Covington Washington – USA (www.reallifechurch.com ); a suburban church that is active in its surrounding communities.
Steve has a 35-year history of initiating and supporting humanitarian initiatives locally and internationally that help impoverished populations solve their own problems without being totally dependent on outside support. Skilled with an inspiring vision and empowering leaders, Steve has engaged indigenous leaders, pastors, students, and business leaders to have their own vision to make a better world in their local communities.
Through the Real Life Church, Real Missions, The Pacific Institute, and other development partners, Steve and his team have provided clean drinking water to remote villages, educational materials to tribal elders and students, medical supplies for clinics, wheelchairs for the disabled, microloans for small businesses, mobilized teams for international disasters-and recently set up a functional ICT Classroom/ Laboratory at the St. Anthony of Padua Senior High/ Technical School – Bamboi.
Bamboi is affectionately called his second home and the Mo/ Deg indigenous tribe see him as their brother for his relentless and continuous partnering for over two decades in helping curb the cycle of poverty and eliminating limiting beliefs that were keeping the indigenous tribes poor.
He and his beautiful wife Tina have three amazing grown boys, three Grandchildren, and are the senior pastors of Real Life Church in Covington Washington.
